My games consoles

Hi again everyone,

So I know this post won’t relate to everyone that’s here… And you also may be thinking, what? She just posted a make up post the other day, now gaming?

It’s something I’ve kind of always enjoyed since being young. I grew up with a PlayStation, then ps2 & also always had a Desktop PC with games too! When I moved out of my parents house I didn’t immediately go and get a console, it was I’d say around 4 years ago, but only really in the last 2 years have I gotten more into it.

Xbox one I’d say this is my main console. I did start with the 360, and then got an Xbox one (well 2 in my house actually) it’s quite a talking point when people visit and wonder why there are two tv’s in the living room and 2 Xbox one consoles! Mine is white, 500gb, you might notice from the picture the little small Harddrive on top! So 500gb is really small.  If you hardly use your Xbox then you may be able to get away with it, but I was finding I was deleting things constantly to add new games! For my Harddrive I actually only bought a 1TB, but that now means I have 1.5TB total and it is so much better, I have currently around 40 games installed and still plenty of space!

PlayStation 4 White again… I like my white consoles what can I say? I actually only bought this around a month ago, mainly because I wanted to play some PlayStation exclusives! That, and I had some spare cash, what else does a gamer spend their money on? So far I have only completed 1 game, but have started a few others

Xbox 360 I have had a few Xbox 360’s now. I mentioned earlier on it was my first console. I’ve had one break and then actually at one point when I first got the Xbox one, I genuinely didn’t touch the 360 anymore so sold it… I have no idea why I did that because I ended up just going out and buying another anyway! I still have quite a few games I haven’t finished on the 360!

Desktop PC So I thought I’d include this in the list, I mean the xbox’s & ps4 are the main things I game on. I don’t really use steam on the PC but I own it so it’s here! For the past month I haven’t really touched it because I keep getting a ‘no signal’ error on my monitor. I think it could just be the vga cable and I do have another… But can I be bothered to try it? So far, no! Haha!

Nintendo DSi This is another fairly recent purchase. I was feeling a little nostalgic and remembered when I used to play on my old ds lite! So I picked this up, I couldn’t really justifying paying more for a 3ds xl (if I was going to get the 3ds I would of gotten the xl version) so I stuck with this, bought a couple of games, and it’s ok! It’s quite strange going from seeing super sharp graphics on the likes of an xbone&ps4 but it provides quick entertainment, and no doubt when I go on holiday later on in the year it will come in handy!

So that’s about it! So I was going to originally include some other things like my iPad etc, but I’m going to save my apple products for another time! I really love to earn achievements when playing Xbox. I think that was one of the things that really got me into playing games. I like to get as many as I can in one games.

Leave a comment (click the button at the top of the post/or bottom depending on what device you are viewing this on) let me know, what’s your favourite console, do you own any of these? What do you like about gaming?

My daily make up

Hi everyone! I thought today I would share with you my daily make up that I use. This does change from time to time, I like to try new things so I’ll normally stick with something until it runs out,and then possibly look at something else to try!

  1. L’oréal Paris Infallible 24h-Matte (Sand 20) (£7.99 available from boots) My foundation and what I start with, I do actually also have the L’oréal base to go with this, but normally on a morning I don’t have much time, so I tend to only use that less often. For me, I love that this is so matte, I find it lasts long, and lately with the heat we have had in the UK that is needed! Nobody likes having foundation marks from sweating 😳 to apply this foundation I currently have been using;
  2. Blank Canvas cosmetics F20 brush (£12.57 directly from Blankcanvascosmetics or currently they have 2 for £16.76!) This flat buffer brush can be used with cream, liquid or powder products. I actually received this in a recent glossybox* I received! So it is fairly recent that I have been using this. I was usually using one of the real techniques sponges, which are really great, but I find myself sort of ‘pulling’ at my face sometimes when using sponges. This gives me a lighter (but still full) coverage too! *Glossybox is £10 a month plus delivery on a monthly subscription plan, to try it out Click here
  3. Spectrum Collections Unicorn Tears Wonder Sponge (Lilac) (£4.99 available from Spectrum Collections or Birchbox) This is something I received in my monthly Birchbox* a few months back and only recently started to use. When I am applying my foundation I first put some underneath my eyes and leave it to sit while I foundation the rest of my face. Then when I am done I use this sponge to pat where the foundation is under my eyes to set it, I find this leaves my eyes looking brighter. I don’t actually use concealer, although I would like to find some that I may like as I see other people doing similar things to me but with concealer instead of foundation. *Birchbox is £10 plus delivery each month. Sign up using this link to receive £5 worth of points to spend in The Birchbox Shop!
  4. Rimmel London Natural Bronzer (£5.99 available from Superdrug) I actually have used this for quite some time. It comes in a few different colours, which I switch between. In cooler months where I don’t get as much sun I stick with a cooler shade. To apply this I have been using;
  5. 17 Bronzer brush I don’t think this actual brush is available anymore. I have owned this for way too long and really should invest in a new brush! From what I recall it was around £5, boots No7 also do nice brushes like these, maybe I should look for a new one there!
  6. L’oréal Paris Brow Artist Genius Kit, Medium to dark (£9.99 available at Superdrug) I would say I only started filling in my eyebrows around one year ago. Eyebrows are such a ‘thing’ now. Does anyone remember when it was all the craze for people to have all their eyebrows shaved off and a really skinny neat line drawn in its place? I used to be one of those people some years ago! Now I can’t even imagine what I would look like if I did that! 😂 My own eyebrows are pretty decent (if I do say so myself!) I mainly use this brow palette to simply enhance them a little, make them a little darker and the right shape I want them to be.
  7. L’oréal Paris Color Riche Le khól okay, so eyeliner. I could legit, do a whole blog post on my eyeliners I own so man, and there isn’t even an actual reason for me owning so many! I don’t go overly crazy with eyeliner and sometimes I don’t even wear it at all! I think it is one of those items that if I am buying make up, and you know the 3 for 2 sales are on, I’ll always just pick up an eyeliner, because I’ll probably need one when all my other 50 eyeliners run out won’t I? Haha so yeah, I aren’t sure when or where I even bought this.
  8. Icona Milano Emotion Allowed mascara & Revlon Ultra volume mascara I got the Icona Milano mascara from a recent glossybox. I think it may be a new product to the uk, as when I was searching online to check the price it was available through multiple sites, however on the Icona Milano UK website it wasn’t listed. It was listed for €16.50 on their .nl website though! The Revlon mascara was received in a glossybox and can be bought for £9.99 from boots

Stackers Jewellery box review

Hello!

Today I am really happy to be able to share a review on the Stackers jewellery box collection. For those who haven’t heard of Stackers, their (main) products are jewellery boxes, that you are able to stack on top of each other, thus being able to create the jewellery box that you would like! They. Come in 3 main sizes, mini, classic & supersize. They do also have a range of charm boxes too, plus a number of other awesome boxes . Today I will be reviewing the classic size in ‘mink’

Once some time ago I did actually buy a single Stackers box. I bought the classic size lidded box in cream and purple (cream outside, purple inside) my intention was to then build up the collection and keep adding to it… I ended up going off the colour. I found that the cream got dirty easily and even when wiped and cleaned still appeared dirty, and I went off the purple inside, I found it too dark. So when I was buying this new collection I went for mink which is lovely and the interior is light and also feels a lot nicer to touch than the old one did too.

The reason I wanted to buy the Stackers collection is that I am currently starting out collecting Trollbeads (as well as a few others) and I wanted a nice place to store my beads, where I can also take all the beads off the bracelet and keep them safe and enable me to try out different bracelet styles. I did originally look at a White Trollbeads box which was £75 and I did actually purchase one, however the jewellery store I bought it from online made some mistakes with postage and I had to be refunded. I then changed my mind and decided Stackers were great because I could expand them when my collection gets bigger.

*Something I really really wanted to know before purchasing these boxes is how many charm bars would fit inside? I tried to search online but could not find a definite answer, so hopefully this information along with pictures will help*

I opted to choose the stack of 4, plus I bought 5 charm bars to go with them.

The top part of the stack is lidded, and has 2 long sections at the top, which can hold 2 charm bars each, 5 square compartments that could be useful for holding bracelets (and they do fit a bracelet such as Pandora with charms on it) and then it has a cushioned section for rings

The next section I love, this was the section that I especially wanted to know how many. Charm bars it would hold. It has a large section for rings at the front, a large rectangular box and then 2 more smaller rectangular boxes at the back. This box can hold 8 charm bars! 2 in each of the smaller boxes and 4 in the large one. I love this!

This next section that I have has lots of small compartments, all the same size. You could probably use this for a number of different things such as earrings or even more beads. I currently have put my Trollbeads lock in there.

The last box, this one is a deep box with 3 sections, you could probably put anything in these. I haven’t fully decided what I will keep here however for now it definitely seems like a good place to put bracelets or necklaces where they won’t get tangled or damaged!

And by the way, these boxes don’t have to be stored in this order, you can stack them however you like, and you can add extra boxes at any time, I am more than likely going to end up purchasing multiple of the second box in this collection to stack together!

For everything I bought which was the 4 box set plus 5 charm bars, it was £86.64 (including delivery) they can be bought directly from Stackers Website but I have also seen them for sale in plenty of other places including Amazon & EBay. To people that just generally are looking for a jewellery box it may seem like a lot of money to spend, although you could just go for a single box or 2. In my opinion, the price is fairly reasonable. The quality seems really good, the feel of the inside is lovely material, and just the flexibility of the fact that I can have a jewellery box how I want it for what I need. I also thought that if I was to buy a Trollbeads or Pandora beaded box, even though they are really nice, they cost around the same or more but then I would just need to buy another once it’s full. I forgot to mention, there are lots, and I mean lots of colours to choose from!

Pro’s:

  • Create a jewellery box fit for your own needs
  • Choose a colour (from a big choice) that you like
  • Suits all jewellery types
  • Good quality feel on inside and outside

Con’s:

  • If your collection is really big you could end up with a really high stack!

Okay so I struggled to actually think of some cons and that was all I could come up with! What do you think to these stackers boxes? Have you got your own? Any suggestions on what jewellery I should put there? Leave a comment by clicking the button at the top (or bottom depending on your device)

Welcome, about etc etc

Hi, welcome to UndercoverD blog.

If you are here right now… At the day of this posting, you probably stumbled here by mistake, as you will see if you take a look around there isn’t much to see yet. Wouldn’t it be great a few years from now if you were able to say “oh yeah, UndercoverD blog? I’ve been reading that since the very first post!”

I suppose every blog has to start somewhere, so here is my introduction. I have multiple interests, and generally speaking in the blogging world it is usually advised to stick to one, or maybe two topics when starting a new blog. I toyed around with the idea of sticking to one subject, or even doing multiple different blogs, but I always came back to this. Maybe one day in the future, things may change who knows!

Some things you will see here:

Reviews – I like to try new things, all kinds of different things, so you will see me post reviews about multiple products. I have put some information in the About page if you would like to get in touch with me to review a product.

Technology/Gaming – Kind of two separate topics, but I’m trying not to make this list too long! So I love technology, from iPhones, iPads, TV’s, literally anything! I also enjoy gaming, but that is for another post 😇

Beauty/Jewellery – I subscribe to some monthly beauty subscription boxes, which I will also post here monthly for everyone to see! And I love Jewellery too. I have recently started to collect Trollbeads. (I love Pandora and a few others too)

Health/fitness – I like to go to the gym, and I am currently trying to live a healthier lifestyle, again, you will see posts relating to this 😊
Okay, so I don’t want to chat too much in this first post, and I’m sure along the way there will be numerous other things to add to the list of interests/blog topics. I hope you enjoy what’s to come!

What are your interests? Do you like any of the above?
